Semi --> Full Hiatus You all may have noticed I've been scarcer of late. Last minute cosplay fixing + getting used to this whole "retail" thing, and, from this Friday to Sunday, [23-25], Animazement. ♥ So, semi to full hiatus until Monday, the 26th [both player and mod hiatuses]. I'll still be checking in every day, keep that inactivity list up to date, but there probably won't be any posting, maybe some comment spam if I find the time. Dieciocho: La Verdita Pesche has finally finished his boat! I couldn't find Link-san, so I had to try elsewhere. I thought there might be some people down by the water who might now about it, and I found a man who apparently lives in that lighthouse who has been helping me since I got back from the Mirror City a few days ago. Now, my little fishing skiff is all set to go tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn. I am super-excited about it. I found many choice worms and grubs for bait over in Xanadu, and I hope for great success on my first outing. I only wish I could have thanked the man who helped me out, but he sort of vanished just after we finished. Also, I have thought of a great name for my boat: La Verdita, which means in spanish "the little green feminine thing", which fits perfectly since the boat is small (compared to over boats at least), painted green, and feminine since, according to Clow-san, boats are supposed to be feminine. So tomorrow I set out...of course, I'll keep my phone thingy with me, so you can send me a message if you like. Oh, and all of Pesche's friends can have as much fish as they would like from this first outing. Hopefully, I'll catch a lot and we can have a celebration for the City going back to (relatively) normal. [ooc: Here is a picture of what Pesche's skiff basically looks like, in case you were wondering:
And since building a boat takes quite a bit more expertise than Pesche has with woodworking, a ghost inhabiting the Lighthouse took material form for awhile to help him out, perhaps out of sympathy for a fellow ghost-like person (Pesche is half Hollow), or perhaps simply for love of seafaring in general. Pesche, for his part, doesn't even realize it was a ghost that helped him.
Also, La Verdita could also be translated as "the little green girl". Whatever that might refer to...] |

... On a completely unrelated topic: I can't take this any more. Six bunks, or there would be if one hadn't been torn up to service a Wookie, and I've been sleeping on a cot next to the sublight engines. I cleaned that hold. Do you know what I found? Do you know what lurks there, hidden amongst the aesthetically harrowing visage that is the Falcon's inner smuggling sanctuaries?
Medium grade plasteel boxes aren't supposed to deteriorate. What were you smuggling, Han? The bottom of one turned to sludge when I moved it. I found something's finger - SOMETHING'S FINGER, long since decayed and decrepit - trapped in the gears of one of the compartments under the hallway when I was moving things around. Carbon scoring three centimeters thick where there should be no carbon scoring, one half-charred Mandalorian gauntlet, a droid brain of unknown origin, three cybernetic eyes in various states of disrepair, more hydrospanners than I know what to do with (did you just buy a new one every time you lost it?), someone's unpaid parking tickets from before the Clone Wars, a clone storm trooper helmet, three decks of Sabacc cards none of which are complete, a boot with the toe eaten out of it, a change of clothes I really hope are Lando's and not yours stained with... look I don't even want to know, a colony of long-dead deep space electromites, six cubic feet of expired Corellian food processor gelatin, and some really questionable holos. Among other things.
That was one hold. The one hold that was supposedly the empty one.
The madness must stop. It's getting cleaned. All of it.

Who is still in 'Mirror City'?
Let's all meet up for a party in the Square tonight! Bring one or more single-serving snacks, drinks, or other small items to share... or don't, which might also work. At or around midnight, exchange your items with someone around you (or refuse to do so, which might also work). Of course, feel free to keep trading around if you don't like what you end up with...
It could be a good way to meet people or learn about a new kind of refreshment. I'm going to bring electrolyte water.

From what has been reported so far, I think it's tentatively safe to guess that any act that reflects a great virtue or sin at midnight seems to do the trick. I can't exactly do a trial and error so this is based on what people have said whenever they get back and other reports combined. People who help other people get back seem to be able to return that way.
I have been told by multiple sources that these curses usually don't last this long. The usual term is what then? 24 hours? 28? Something else? And can anyone elaborate on the nature of death and life in this place?
...finally, does anyone require help at the moment? I know the curse is supposed to end, but if it doesn't, I don't know what happens and it would make sense if people wished to retrieve their friends from that other City as a cautionary action.
